About me

Who am I, and why
do you care?

My name is Sarah McCleskey, and I value integrity, determination, and curiosity.

Lafayette Science Museum:
I love my job!

BACKGROUND

Being curious and asking questions has gotten me far in life. I'm passionate about self-improvement, problem-solving, and never giving up. I love writing poetry, reading, and collecting fountain pens. As the founder of the SASS astronomy club, I'm proud to say that I've created a safe haven for like-minded individuals who share my wonder of the cosmos.

Grambling State University: Research Presentation

education

Starting next semester, I will be changing majors to strategic communication with a minor in music and a concentration in advertising. In my time here at UL Lafayette: I’ve discovered a secret room, helped use Particle Induced X-Ray Emissions (PIXE) to determine the composition of a meteorite, and my co-author and I were invited to present our research at the University of Louisiana System Academic Summit held at Grambling State University.

Working in the Planetarium

where I see myself in the future

Two years from now, my hard work will pay off, and I’ll graduate with a bachelor’s degree in strategic communication. I plan on earning a master’s degree and continuing my work as a planetarium operator. I hope to inspire people to question the mysteries of our Universe, just as I was inspired to many years ago.
